Melecio Magdaluyo Jazz Quartet

Thursday, October 18, 6:30-8:30pm at La Crema in Albany

Melecio Magdaluyo has been a music treasure since the 1980s performing on saxes, flute, and clarinet in the Bay Area’s vibrant music scene. His rhapsodic and soulful approach has given him opportunities to work with many great jazz and Latin jazz artists such as Pete Escovedo, John Santos, Tito Puente, Wayne Wallace, Akira Tana, Linda Tillery, and Ray Obiedo.

His quartet format will give him an opportunity to stretch out and let the members reach high levels of musical expression using standards, Latin jazz, and original compositions. Expect an exciting display of improvisations and surprises!

This is a Guaranteed Fair Wage Fund event where each musician will be paid $150 in advance, regardless of ticket sales. Jazz in then Neighborhood makes this possible by subsidizing 40% of their pay. La Crema guarantees the rest. For tickets and other information, please contact La Crema.
