The Dann Zinn Quartet features Dann Zinn on saxophone, Glen Pearson on piano, Jeff Chambers on bass, and Leon Joyce, Jr. on drums. This eclectic group will play work newly written for this concert as well as original compositions from Zinn’s critically acclaimed recordings. Renowned for his passion, fire, and the haunting melodies that create a pure and accessible sound, Zinn’s music has given him the reputation of being “a game changer” who is taking jazz to new directions. The virtuosity of the playing and the creative output from this band makes them one of the Bay Area’s best.
