Featuring the renowned country blues singer Uncle Joe “Lucky” Beckett, backed by the most dangerous backing band west of the Sacramento River, The Hardly Strictly Family Band plays a mix of your favorite country blues, folk, and Americana music. Though Uncle Joe may get lost to many of his shows, the rest of the Hardly Strictly Family Band will keep the place rocking until he arrives.
This is a Guaranteed Fair Wage Fund event where each musician will be paid $150 in advance, regardless of ticket sales. Jazz in the Neighborhood makes this possible by subsidizing 40% of their pay. Bird & Beckett and the Jazz Philanthropists Union guarantees the rest. The $20 cover charge at the door is a crucial component of that guarantee, though a sliding scale is available to those who need avail themselves of it.
