Klobas/Kesecker Ensemble

The Klobas/Kesecker Ensemble is a progressive jazz quintet focusing on original arrangements of mainstream jazz with unique original compositions that have power and grace.  With Tommy Kesecker on vibes, Steve Heckman on sax, Terrence Brewer on guitar, Pat Klobas on bass and David Rokeach on drums, their music communicates jazz of the 21st century.

The band’s members are known for their unique talent and have backed such diverse artists as Rosemary Clooney, Michael Feinstein, Zakir Hussain, Chita Rivera, Marcus Shelby, and Kristen Chenowith. Their two releases, No Gravity and Moments Notice will be available at the performance.

The performance will feature guest artist Maxwell Nesbet, a bassist who has studied at the San Francisco Conservatory and is co-bassist with the SF Jazz Big Band.
